You will have to watch what you eat. The first step is to realize that well balanced meal is not balanced for you. You will need to limit your carb intake, star at 15 grams for breakfast, 30 for lunch and dinner. Test before and 1 hour after each meal, high post meal numbers mean you need to adjust what you ate. You need to avoid most white foods, rice, pasta, milk, and bread. You will need to test 6-8 times a day if you rally want to adjust your meals and do this by diet and not go on insulin.

There is a book called "Syndrome X" by Sandra Cabot. It talks about insulin resistance. People with blood sugar problems fall into this catagory.

Depending upon the type of insulin problems that you have there are several things that you can do.

First and foremost you need to make sure that you speak to a doctor and make sure that you are able to manage your insulin levels and sugar levels with diet.

Diet is integral to managing sugar levels and insulin levels. Having foods that are low GI are important because high sugar foods will cause your insulin levels to spike (or not) with high glycemic index foods. Things that have a high sugar content are dangerous when you have diabetes. Anything with refined sugar should be avoided.

There are several natural sweeteners on the market. One that tastes good is called stevia. It is from a natural plant in south America and you can purchase it at most health food stores.

Be sure to eat regular meals, small meals, six times a day is best for you and your metabolism, and especially if you want to manage your blood sugar.

Finally check out the websites of the American diabetes association because they have some great recipes and advice for managing your blood sugar levels. Also Sandra Cabots website is full of exceptional information. Good Luck! :-D

I suggest in order to have a balance Sugar is to have a healthy living lifestyle. Eat healthy foods like vegetables and fruits. Minimize drinking soda because it's not going to help you out.
