Salam.In general whatever material which will make us drunk and harm our own health is haram or not allowed to be eaten.If this ethanol is just only a very small amount in a certain food or fruit and we do not drunk or ill by eating it,it not haram.
If we eat it in the large quantity more than normal,any kind of halal food and drink,are haram or not allowed.We should stop eating before full enough as suggested by Muhammad pbuh in his hadith.We should fill our stomach just only 2/3 for foods and drinks and 1/3 for air or oxygen.
